Dear Sister Gandy,
It is a pleasure to inform you that your son, Elder Gandy, has been called to serve as a Zone Leader. The calling of Zone Leader is a very important one as it provides essential spiritual and temporal support to the missionaries of a zone. As a Zone Leader, Elder Gandy will have the opportunity to serve the many missionaries in his zone and always be there for guidance and support. He will also take a large part in zone conferences, where Elder Gandy and his companion will be teaching and instructing the other missionaries in their zone, on how they can better teach, preach, and find new investigators with the Spirit as their guide. Your son has been called because of his ability to teach and lead with love. I feel that he is ready to accept this opportunity, and I'm confident he will carry out this responsibility faithfully.
Elder Gandy's knowledge of the gospel and his testimony have continued to grow as a missionary. I have confidence in him, and I know he will have many new and exciting experiences as he takes on this assignment. Please continue to encourage his efforts with supportive letters from home.
It has been a blessing to have Elder Gandy in our mission. We love him, and we are grateful for the service that he is giving and for your support.
Faithfully yours,
Eric C. Evans
Mission President
